I had Tuesday off and decided to head up into Gifford Pinchot National Forest for a little exploring. I headed up the 54 road out of Chelatchie Prairie to the 57 road and up over the pass. I then worked my way back down to the 54 road and out to Carson WA.

A cool little spur road that I found.

A waterfall off of the 54 road. The water was flowing everywhere on Tuesday.

Another spur road. The drop was straight down.

Getting into some snow at 3600'

I stopped in the small community of North Bonneville on the way home and found some new friends.

Nice! Beautiful area. I really like the first and third pics, with the trees fading into the fog.

Great backroads between Elbe and Carson/Stevenson area. I take that route when going to my uncles place. Think that is part of the Wa. backcountry discovery route.
