Water Storage in Spare Tire location

So i've been searching around and haven't found anyone who's placed a water storage tank in the spare tire area. Why not?

I found an 18 gallon plastic water tank that is 25x25x8, nice and compact. I haven't quite figured out how to easily add water to the tank or the best way to use the water in the tank but I think it could be solved easy enough. Looks like some fab work will be required as well to build a bracket for the tank area and a skid plate to protect it. 18 gallons is close to 150 lbs, a lot of weight but their are plenty of smaller tank options as well.

Here's a link to the tank along with hundreds of other combinations

Anyone else done anything similar or have any recommendations?

The only negative I can think of at the moment would be freezing issues during the winter.

I seem to recall one of the guys on TTORA doing this same thing a couple of years ago on a first gen Tacoma. If I can recall my screen name there I'll try to find it.

Cool, thanks guys. It just seems like a great place to put such a bulky item. Low center of gravity is also a big bonus. I'm sure it could be wrapped in insulation too to keep it warmer or colder depending on the season.
