Wax on; wax off

I have to give big props to Articulate for donating those electric waxers as prizes for the ExPo Trophy event. I just used mine a few weekends ago, and my truck hasn't shined like that in months!! And my shoulders/arms don't hurt as much as they did back when I used to wax & polish by hand. Although, I kinda had the "jitters" for a few hours after finishing. I guess I should now let BogusBlake borrow it, since he was on my team :sombrero:

I've always used Meguiars products, and they seem to work well to remedy the "redneck racing stripes" (or "arizona pinstripes" depending on where you live). What products and/or methods do all of you use when it comes to waxing/polishing?

Sweet. Glad it worked for you...

I got turned onto a product called TR3 some time ago. In high school. Got it at the auto parts store, and with an electric buffer and finesse it would sort of "melt" the clear coat and allow you to smooth out heavy gouges. Wax is just a top coat protector.

I don't know if melt is the correct way to describe it, but it worked.

Check it out, a new smiley that fits team Tacozona:

yes, thanks Mark. I used the buffer when I traded in my Zuk, probably got another thousand for the truck because most of the pinstrips were gone.:coffeedrink:

I'll check out that TR3 stuff when it's time for another waxing. I had trouble finding this thread since it got moved. I originally posted it under the vehicle repair and maintenance section, but I guess wax is considered a mod

and yes -- that's a very fitting smilie!! :rally_guys:
