they are going to my 04 LX470
it is a daily driver used for everything from hauling the family to loading it down full of gear.
Budget in not a big thing as I get most of everything at dealer cost through my business and friends shop.
Thanks!

If cost is not an issue, I would consider the big front brake kit from Stoptech. http://www.buybrakes.com/c-102_lexus-lx470_big-brake-kits.aspx

Slotted rotors and good pads for the rear could be purchased at the same time.

Stoptech, Power Stop, Power Slot, Brembo all make rotors for that truck. EBC and Hawk make good truck pads. I would poke around on their websites and try to decide for yourself which compound would be the best fit for the type of driving you do.

As I mentioned earlier, I use the Hawk blue pads on my smaller trucks and Hawk or EBC red pads on my daily driver. The blue pads cover most driving conditions and are better than stock pads for performance. The red pads are far superior in the performance category, but make noise and wear out rotors. I don't care about the noise, but you might.

For clairification, my daily driver is a newer Dodge Cummins 4x4. It weighs quite a bit and I tow a lot through the Sierra Nevada mountains, so brake performance is critical.

Just be aware that the LC has small discs and they generate lots of heat and on a heavy use year I would only get about 8000 miles out of a set. The heat issue vs pads ended up being a big problem for my cousin on his 93 not sure what pads we put on it they were not stock pads and about 4000 miles later he cooked a caliper. We think that the pad material vs the nature of the LC weight vs small rotor size and pad compound was the primary issue. I only put stock pads on mine never had any issues.

That model eats pads fast. The stock rotors are VERY VERY Beefy! Never had an issue with them EVER!

I just stick with OEM.
OEM here too. I don't know what was on it when I bought it but based on the previous owners meticulous service history at Lexus. According to service records they lasted more than 60,000 miles and the rotors we took off were not cooked, warped, heat cracked, etc...

OEM. I upgraded to 100 series pads on my 80 when I replaced the rotors last time. I get a LOT more life out of the bigger, slightly thicker OEM 100 series pad than the 80 series pad. You're in a hundy already. If you haven't had any issues, stick with OEM.

I went with DBA slotted all around and OEM pads. The stock rotors were warped at around 90k. Since then, no problems.
