What JK specific tools do you carry?

A must? Probably the one tool I forgot.... :D IMO the most important for the JK will be front axle bolt sizes; 17, 18, 19 & 21mm plus a 36mm for the hub nut.

I carry a DeWalt 20v impact, 2* sets of 1/2" sockets from 10mm to 24mm and a 36mm. Extra battery and a charger for the impact. (* 1 set of sockets is 6 point impact, the other are 12 point for the few nuts that require them.)
Wrenches I carry 10mm thru 21mm in regular with a few ratcheting wrenches thrown in.
Also a torque wrench, pry bar, mallet, tire plug kit, compressor, torx set, allen set, channel locks, screw drivers, zip ties, duct tape, ratchet straps & bungees. Non-tool extras include a first aid kit, several light sources, water & blankets.

Needless to say there's not a lot of extra room in the back of my Jeep...

This looks like my kit. I also carry visegrips. A small visegrip is good at pinching off damaged brake lines, etc.

JK specific?. I'd say the necessities are light bar wrench, angry eyes adjuster, and rockstar rim polish.

ZING!

Seriously though, I kid.

I dont think it matters what type of jeep for the basics, you should have a full metric and SAE tool kit, wrenches, sockets, etc. I personally carry a cheap harbor freight kit so I dont get too upset if it disappears.

A good torx socket set, and torx key set are a must have for a JK. Also this is more specific to my suspension system, but I carry a couple big *** adjustable wrenches for the jam nuts on my control arms and track bars.

It's a tight squeeze :camping:

I like wheeling with bluebabysound. I don't have to carry as much stuff....lol.

I really am salivating over his dewalt impact....Have used that on mine more than once.

In reality, my toolkit isn't far behind... although some of mine sits outside in an ammo can toolbox. Saves a bit of space. Sorry for the bad pic. Only one i had quickly available.

That being said, I'd answer with all the crap I carry, but probably none of it applies to a more modern and reliable jeep.

Put together a kit before Christmas for my 2014 JKUR. 8" and !0" adjustable pliers, 16 oz. hammer, 6 in 1 screwdriver, 6" and 8" adjustable wrenches, 3/8" sae and metric socket set, needle nose pliers, vice grips, wire strippers (spare I had in shop), SAE, metric and torx allen keys. All purchased from Lowes for $96.00. I store them in bags (dirtbagz) and tool roll from jeepswag.com that fit under the rear seats, still had room in passenger side bag for my spotting scope with plenty of room for other stuff(duct tape, electrical tape, assortment of solderless connectors), etc...
