what's a d4d?

I saw on a used car lot today a Toyota 2 door SUV that hab a landcruiser rear tire carrier and a d4d emblems on the fenders. It was left hand drive, had a Manuel transfer case and a 5 speed it looked like. It had no paperwork in the window or anything but it appeared to be around a 2000 anyone have any idea what it is?

D4d is the 4 cyl diesel the rest of the world gets in their (Hi-Lux)mini-trucks.

I saw it, it was sitting next to a Porsche 959.

I was dropping off alternator for my Yukon and saw the rear tire rack said land cruiser so I went to look at it. Didn't have any of the required paperwork stuck to the windows so wasn't for sale. Had a dealer license plate on it. Will ask them about it tomorrow and get pics was just curious cause I had never seen one before looked like a rav4 on steroids
