I see a lot of doodads on these trailers. Help out a newby here... what should my wish list look like for the first 5 items. The price is not important at this time. What would be most benificial to have just starting out. Thanks for the help.

Having everything on it needed to camp ready to go at a moments notice is important, just add food. And only you know what YOU need to camp:)

Ok so I should be thinking...

extra fuel containers.
power either via generator or battery with solar charging.
Roof tent
Complete kitchen Ice chests or fridge?
and for the fifth item I am thinking a compressor or lighting.

Am I thinking backwards here?

Fuel, water, and a deep cycle battery under the floor/deck to keep weight low.
Virtually all of these trailers are way to fragile. I fully expect to roll such a trailer many times in its life so I will say an external structure that will sirvive such activity's. All internal storage designed to carry the whatever so they will sirvive 360° impacts.
Tow/extraction attachment points on all corners, including the top.
Lights all directions, top and bottom.
Fuel, Water, Battery, Tow points, Lights. My top 5:coffee:
I would also add jack mounting points, and in my design I have a winch.

Finish install of 2" hitch receiver on back
then:

1. Water with heater.
2. final design for totally homemade RTT (Overland/ARB) knockoff.
3. homemade Jerry can holders.

I'd say:

1. Storage and organization of spares, equip.
2. Sleeping area, either in, or on top (RTT)
3. Easily accessable kitchen
4. Ease of settup
5. Fuel and water

That's my list anyway..

While I admire your ambitions here, I'm going to go out on a limb and say that you are probably the only person here who has such requirements. Trailers are designed the way they are (fragile, as you say) because of limitations mostly with the tow vehicle, and the fact that 99% of us don't regularly roll our trailers.

Why would anyone accept so much damage from such a minor flop?

EDIT: I want to be clear, I do not intend to be overly critical of the trailer in the link, picking on a quality product is not my intent.
Further, I absolutely am not criticizing 'teebes' because things happen and I can admit to having trailer fun in the past.
When one is designing a trailer from scratch it seems to me that addressing potential shortcomings that exist would be prudent. As a builder you are free to build features that would exceed the price point on a commercially available product.
The design elements I listed are simple criteria that would make any design better, and with a clean page to design on are simple things to do.

Roll overs happen, and a well designed trailer can survive with very little damage. My personal Horizon was rolled in an accident on Mexico 1 at 60 mph, the tent was totaled, and there was major road rash on one side box. The trailer was rolled back upright and the journey continued. Everything on the interior survived intact.

An import factor is internal tie down points, if your load is insecure expect the worse.

1. Eco temp hot water, with shower tent for showering and toilet facilities
2. Water tank(s) below floor with 12v pump and filter system for filling from stream or faucets
3. Batteries, with inverter and chargers, On board generator to charge batteries, LED task and interior, exterior lighting
4. Pull out, all inclusive kitchen with all propane/tanks and devices
5. Fast setup tent, fast setup awning(s) eating, sleeping area in the trailer besides the RTT

All systems would support at a 5 day trip without outside resources

I think the key is to have all the gear inside ready to go. Add clothes, water, and fud/brewskis and hit the road
