2001...in the last year I've lost two of the factory caps off my 16" rims. The other two are very loose. This happened all of a sudden. Is it normal? I need to buy new caps I suppose.

Hmmm, can't say I've run across that. I'd have to go pull some off a wheel in the shop to verify but don't they have the little metal "U" clips that slip over the plastic?

They have the circular metal thingy inside the cap. That thing looks like it holds the plastic in place, etc. Is that the U-clip?
