Where did Campteq go?

As the title says, what happened to the Campteq pop top conversions? I click on their website and it says the domain is expired!

I believe the owner decided the business hindered his Vagabond lifestyle. Good for him if he can swing it. Bad for potential Campteq customers.

With all these people building all these custom products...why in the hell no one builds a pop top conversion for the 80 is beyond me. It sucks that Campteq was the only game in town and they don't feel like doing it anymore. In a few weeks we are getting a Baroud.

A few years ago I bugged him about every 4 months to build one for the 100 using mine as a template and offering above what he was charging for the 80 series conversion, but he declined each time. My guess is that it wasn't profitable enough for him, and the amount of time it was taking up was too great of an obstacle for what he liked spending his time on. Totally understandable, but a bummer nonetheless.

Hey folks, I know this is an old thread but if anyone is keeping an eye on it was still looking for an 80 series pop-top I was looking into them myself and found a company in Germany doing them:
