Wildernest sleeping pad options?

What are you guys using for pads in your Wildernest? It's time to upgrade our aging thermarests and our Paco pads we use on the river are just too big for the 'nest. Our is the compact truck model, measuring roughly 42" width in the sleeping area. I'm wondering if I shouldn't come up with specific sort of mattress for it that only gets used in the truck instead of two narrowish camping pads that aren't good for much else...

Pic for attention...

Hey thought you're were selling that!? :p

Found a 4" foam mattress at Sportsman Warehouse years ago (IIRC it was $70)...but I think that was pretty random. Have never seen it there again.

Think I sleep better on that, than I do at home...

Could always go to a foam shop and have them cut exactly what you need, or you can buy memory foam mattress topper and cut it down yourself.

Yeah that's what I was thinking, our memory foam topper at home is great.

Looks like the 'nest is sticking around at least for this next trip...I'll see if I still can part with it after we get back!

So you're not using a mattress? You do know they are supposed to have a 3" thick one that fits down in the lid cavity, that's the way they were originally anyway.

I had a place in Boulder, CO, make me one and new cover about 15 years ago.

At the time it was about $200 but I suspect now it would be more. I used a high density, medium firmness closed cell foam and it's held up very well. Hasn't broken down much and has resisted developing any mildew.
