Sorry for not posting in the classifieds, but this was very Land Rover specific.

Anyone have a 300Tdi a/c pulley sitting around? Need one to replace the one I have. Pulley is a 4-groove pulley and smaller than the one on the V8 compressor.

Thanks for the help!

Shipping to 83716.

Sorry I don't. I called George (RDS) yesterday about an a/c compressor for a 300 but he is out of stock. He may have the pulley though.

cheers

Looks like you are putting a/c onto a 300tdi. Perhaps you already have all the special parts, compressor, mount, tensioners etc.

I found those parts hard to find so I used the compressor off the 4.0 V8 I just took out and designed my own mount. I drive the compressor with the 7 groove belt that drives everything else on the 300tdi...a longer one of course. It works well here in South Carolina where we have 90-100 degree temps every day at the moment.
A local shop made the hoses up for my Disco install.

Call Rovers North. They are carrying replacement parts for 300Tdis

ended up replacing the compressor with a D1 compressor. Had to modify the mounting bracket and replace the front cover off the compressor.

Works great. It was 104 here today in Boise, but my wife was cruising cool with her a/c :)

Yes, pics and details. I would have thought that the V8 compressor would rotate the wrong way on the 300.

The a/c compressor rotates the same direction on both the V8 and tdi engines.
The cooling fans on the other hand are opposite.
If the pulley has grooves it rotates the same way as the crankshaft.
If the pulley is smooth, it rotates the opposite way as it is driven by the outside of the belt.

Hopefully these pics will get onto the post. I'm not savvy in uploads.
Compressor is unmodified and from the V8 I took out. I made my own bracket mount. I also added a tensioner between the fan idler and the compressor otherwise the belt slipped with the a/c load.

Alternator is 100 amp early Saturn using the OEM pulley. The 65 amp Marelli died.
