WTB: Canon G9

I crunched my poor camera today. We had many adventures and many memories recorded with that camera. I have a lot of gear for it so I would like to just replace it rather than change.

Is the G series really that good to get that price on a used unit? I looked at the new G11 and nearly $500... these things must be awesome.

My G9 has been 'not-so-awesome' three times.

The third time it died, it got tossed to the back shelf, and replaced with a much cheaper camera.

I know a few folks with G's and yours is the first sad story I've heard. Mine was reliable and fun to use - GREAT pictures too!

It is almost a DSL with many options the user can set - f stop, time laps, etc. but the ease of a point and shoot.

Loved that camera a lot.

I know a few who have it, and are very happy with it. Mine just keeps breaking. To bad there isn't a lemon law for cameras.

Canon did fix it twice under warranty, but I just can't bring myself to pay to have it fixed considering its track record . . .
