WTB: D-90 steering drop arm and cross rod eye (PN RNE442)

I'm planning on doing a damper relocation on the D1 and am looking for a D-90 pitman arm (steering drop arm) & cross rod eye end (P# RNE442)

I am almost positive those are the only parts I need but any odds and ends I might be missing please advise.

Thank you.

The drag link itself is shorter compared to a Discovery one too - so you'll need the drop arm, the eye end and the drag link. You'll also need to weld on a bracket to the chassis for the other end of the steering damper.

Personally I'd stick with the Discovery drop arm (simply because the Defender setup uses a ball joint as part of the drop arm, instead of the standard track rod end setup as per the Discovery.)

You can buy a relocation kit which uses a much heavier duty drag link and a bolt on bracket to allow relocation of the damper - have a lookQT Services

Hope this helps,

Matt

Thanks Matt,

I almost over-looked the ball joint kit and see the differences between that and that tie end rod.

I have seen the kits that are made to go with the HD drag link and am not too koi on them. I'm just not sold on them at this point but will continue to look into them more.

Thanks again for that heads up.

Contact Justin at www.lucky8llc.com, he had all those mods done to the Lucky8 DI, now retired and I guess there is Lucky8 DII

Good luck

I have converted my D90 to all Equipe steering, if there is a part from a stock 90 you need let me know
