WTB Manual SUV to camp out of

Hey guys, thanks for letting me in the club. I'm looking for an older SUV that I can haul a motorcycle with and put a small air mattress in the back of or some means of sleeping comfortably. I've been looking at the first and early second gen Monteros, first and second gen troopers, and the occasional rusty 4runner (bottom pick of the 3). What else do y'all have or recommend Hoping to stay under 6k and hoping to buy within the next couple of months (contingent on getting my BMW motor swap completed and sold). Thanks in advance!

I have a straight, rust free 1994 2bd Gen Trooper, 5 speed with 170k miles. 285/70r17 on 4th Gen 4-runner wheels. Timing belt, plugs just done as well as tuneup.

I'm in So Cal however.
