WTB: Sportsmobile Extended Pop-top "50"

Our family is expanding and I am looking to buy a sportsmobile pop top with the "50" configuration to have that back bench seat. Diesel is a plus and 7.3L is a double plus. Live in MT but willing to travel for the right rig. Can't spend more than 60k per the misses (and maybe the bank). I have been searching all of the usual sources like sportsmobileforum and used vehicles on SMB.com. Have also been doing allcraigslist searches and looking on here.

Anyone out there thinking of selling their SMB? Come out of the woodwork! Any good leads?

What do you mean by expanding and looking for a back bench seat? Have you considered any of the Sprinter vans by other converters? My wife and I just completed a 3 month trip to Guatemala and back in an 05 Leisure Van diesel Sprinter. No real off-roading, but it came with bathroom, kitchen, generator, a/c and that back bench seat that folds down to a bed. That, of course, is the only sleeping area unless you have a youngster where you can swivel the front seats and lay some plywood and a mattress across for the night. Sort of like the couple from SprinterLife.com that took theirs to South America, had a kid on the way, although I think the newborn stayed with them in the back platform bed. Prices are down to about $40k US these days.

Thanks for your reply. I have put much thought into the sprinters but I don't think they could take us where we need to go. I also need a vehicle with decent towing capacity and clearance. We tend to go down some rough roads to trailheads, etc, but we don't really offroad for the joy of it. Also need to use it for getting firewood, hauling trailers etc...
