For vehicles also? I always knew about the atv trails, but that's cool if there are now vehicle trails. It's a nice area.

Yup they sure do. I work for a radio corporation here in wv and we had a booth at our annual hunting and fishing show this weekend. Hatfield and McCoy had a booth there and I sat there and chatted with the guy running it for a while. On a side note they had a raffle for a free year permit, fingers X'd I win. None the less its only $28 a year for a permit and that gives you access to all trails.

Thank you for the links, I cant wait to check this place out. I will probably wait for the spring but if anyone would like to get together and see what its about that would pretty sweet!

I was just checking out the Hf/Mc website and they have a campground and some cabins. Also I found this place on google. http://www.bigearlscampground.com/
Not sure how nice it is but its close the ivy branch trail.

Also here is a site that has all kinds of places.

Awesome. Thanks for the info. I heard about this trail last year from a coworker and wanted to go, but had completely forgotten about it till this thread appeared.

Hatfield McCoy has been an annual thing for a group of us from Michigan. We do it on ATV's/UTV'S. Ivy Branch is the only one we haven't checked out yet, but I keep hearing people rave about it. We're planning the trip now, but unfortunately can't make it until May. I think this years planner said he was having trouble finding lodging. That's usually the case for us though because we never seem to plan far enough in advance.

I have been eyeing this area for a year or so. It appears by the maps and by some Youtube video that there are some nice tame sections and some hard core sections.

My question is... I wonder if there are areas in the trail area where you can pull off the trail and camp?
