Not sure how old it is as I bought it used as well. I was running overland navigator on it and it worked great. Its a solid built unit The GPS antenna is the magnet mount BU-353 as seen in overland journal. Its a great unit becasue you dont have to worry about rain, snow or dust.

I used to design the touch screen for these things. They are top notch pieces of gear. The newer series accepted finger touch, not sure which model this is, I am guessing it's the earlier series and just has the stylus.

I have two of these and love em. They have a Minipci slot and a pcmcia slot as well inside. I installed wifi for mine. The OS is an XP tablet version. You can upgrade the harddrive, but it's a IDE drive. Also make sure and ghost the original drive because some of the drivers installed by Xplore might be hard to find.

I used this in conjunction with Oziexplorer, S&T, and Google Earth when I went up to the San Juans a while back. Worked great. The housing is made of magnesium. I would get a screen saver sheet and put over it though. The touchscreen is made of glass and is pretty tough, but it CAN scratch.

Sorry for going on and on, I just get excited when I see these. They were a fun project to work with.

currently located in Bellingham Wa, I can bring it down to AZ in a week. since your in Vancouver your welcome to stop by and pick it up. I am willing to ship as well.

thanks
Mike
