xplorer272 project

Just bought an old xplorer 272 motorhome. These liitle campers are all fiberglass roughly 20 ft long. I absolutely love the layout/interior of this thing. 30 years old and no leaks!! ! Wish they stillmade them like this !! I originally bought it to put it on a 1990 e350 4x4 cab and chasis. The more I look at it the less I want to tear it apart. It has an old dodge 440 in it.. I was at a 4x4 event and talked to a chasis builder and he said he could put a cummins and 4x4 in it for less than 10k. Does this seem like a realistic budget? If I could do the project for that price I'm pretty sure I would do it ?

10 k seems low. If you did all the work, I could see it.

I think 5k would get you a doner truck... But unless it's all straight bolt in, 5k wouldn't go far for parts and labor for a lift and 4x4 conversion.

That said, I'd check his work out, and take him up on it if his work is any good.

HAHA!!!

Maybe if you're talking about junk yard parts. Nothing would be new or rebuilt. Wouldn't be a modern Cummins either.
