Yakima towers integrated to basket??

I feel like I have seen it done before. Kind of hard to pinpiont what to searce though.

I'm wondering if anyone has pics of a roof basket integrated into a Yakima foot?
Something like a Con-ferr. It maybe as easy as stripping the plastic off the end of the bar and weld it to the rack?

On my old FJ60 I used Yakima 1A towers with the top part the round bar goes through removed leaving a flat spot the rack sat on. You might be able to see it in these pictures.
