ordered them off Paddocks in the UK. Had a friend bring them state side for me. If I had to buy springs here I would look into custom leaf packs like akarover used.

I worked on that stuck bleeder with no luck today, it might be time to get a little drastic (think cutoff wheel and drill) Looks like I am going to have to replace a lot of brake line anyway so I might cut the hard line, then I could remove the brake cylinder and work on that bleeder on the bench.

bought a new shed today, now I can clear out all of my lawn and garden crap to give me some more working space.

Looks like I'll go parabolic as well for mine! Where did you get yours?

Look at Rocky Mountain, I have them and they are really nice.

I'm starting to wonder how much extra weight I'm caring around in rust and dirt, then the several layers of paint slopped on top of all that.

Once you start to figure that out, you'll wonder if there is actually anything underneath the rust, dirt and paint! That's what holds Land Rovers together (I say, having owned several)!!!

Couple the new springs with new seats and your spine will soothe your worries with non-jarring back pain of relief.

Where is a good place to get some seats? Should I look for defender seats?

Got some more progress today, finally got the lower brake cylinder off. Even in a bench vise, I still couldn't get the bleeder out. I ordered one from rovers north ($46, who knows when I'll get it). When I finish the brakes I am going for a ride, I want to test the new shocks and springs.

Defender seats are good.

I put in reproduction deluxe seats in mine. Still holding up well after 10 years of my fat @$$ trying to kill them. Only thing is they don't have headrests. If I were to do it again, I'd get head rests (safety item).

If you get Defender seats, also get the seat brackets with them. Then you have this awesome...setup...thingie...of comfort.

Progress has been horridly slow but with hunting season around the corner, hopefully I will have a little more motivation to get the Landy ready. I have some friends in Monroe, AL and I might make the 8hr highway ride up there. I have never driven the landy further than 50 miles one way and on that particular trip, the exhaust fell off. That's been mended since then, so hopefully she can get me all the way to Monroe in one piece. Fingers crossed.
