What kind of MPG hit did you take going to 35s from 33's. I am getting the itch. I am 90 percent sure im going to a 3.5" complete lift and going to go with 35's with a programmer for shift points etc.

Went from 32's to 35's with a full 3.5" AEV lift. Mind you I have the 3.6 with standard transmission and a gobo rack with hardshell tent but highway I average 19 and city around 17 I do still have 3.73 gears and rarely get out of 5th on highway.

What were your numbers before the tires? I am lifted 2 inches now with 285 bfg ats. I am looking at going up to 3.5" lift, and 315 BFGs.

oh yeah, 99 percent of the time i drive like a granny. If your driving is the same, you lost 2 mpg or so by going to the big lift and tires.

I am wanting the 3.5" lift and 35's. Just suits the Jeep so well, but 33's and my 2" lift now is working great. I have to flip a coin I guess.

I did the exact swap you're talking about... I had 33's with no lift and then went to 35's (km2 M/T's) on a 3.5" lift and lost about 1 MPG. I drive heavy footed, my biggest culprit, so I'm only getting about 13mpg around town.

I drive the Jeep like an old man, I got 20-21 with the 3.73s, now 4.10s and get 1 mpg lower. With the 3.73s I got the higher in the city, with the 4.10s, I get the higher on the highway.

Completely depends on your driving habits and route..

I do almost zero highway driving and have the 6 speed and I get on average 18.6 with 35s, unlimited, 4.11 gears and 3.5 AEV.
Speedo has been calibrated with GPS and TrailDash.

Now.. Jump on the highway.. I'm down in the 14s.

I actually got better mpg's when I swapped out my 33" KM2s for my 35" MTR Kevlars on my TJ. I was geared 4.88 on both and the gears are friendlier with the 35s although I do miss that low-end torque. Eventually I'd like 5.13's but the HP30 is holding me back right now.

I have seen about a 2mpg loss on city driving, however, I have not lost anything on the highway. I typically put the cruise control on at about 73, as that seems to be the sweet spot. On my last trip up to the Colorado mountains to do some exploring i averaged 21.4 mpg. That included about 80 miles of offtrack/wheeling miles and about 300 highway miles.

Do the lift, you WONT regret it!
