Who went from 33's to 35's? MPG hit?

Wow some of you guys are getting great mileage IMO. I average about 15.6 with a daily commute of about 24 miles round trip and some around town dropping off the kids and such. That is at a 65 mph with the cruise control. On a road trip normally between 17-18 if I'm lucky. It's a stock 2014 JKU rubi with 3.73's, with 2 inch leveling kit. It does have a Surco roof rack but I was getting basically the same before adding. It has a little over 10,000 miles, I would think it's broke in by now. I could only guess where I would be if I increased the tires over the stock 32's. Hmm... Maybe a trip to the dealer for a check up ?

screw it, going for it. after the winter, I will step up to 3.5" lift, 315s and not look back.

I'm on the same boat. i also think tires have a lot to do with it for example Nitto's vs BFG -the weight difference alone is insane. What lift are you eyeing?

I am looking at the rough country 3.5" series II with drop brackets, front and rear forged track bars and extended brake lines. I have read a lot of great reviews on this lift in particular. I have been talking to a guy who installed it on his 10a with the same setup I am looking at and he said it rides better than his did stock, flexes fine, and is well built. The only downside would be the shocks. The 2.0 series are much better than the 2.2 versions.

I would run BFG AT's.

Nobody here has mentioned what gas they are putting into the tank. I'm not talking 87vs89vs9x. I'm talking from one brand to another. I run 87octane. I noticed I average 19.5 in my 14 JKR Man. with noname brand budget gas from a local station. I average 18.5 with Irving. This isn't scientific, YMMV. It could also be what type of gas is available in your area.(Ethanol%) If you are seeing poorer mileage than most, try different gas.

I'm running a stock 2014 JKUS and seeing about the same as you... the best I've seen is 19.5ish if I spent a fair amount of time driving 70 on the highway. I've got the same mileage, same gears and 285/70/17 Nitto Terra Grapplers... I'm confused by the 20+ numbers too. Let us know if your trip to the dealer reveals anything.

What kind of MPG hit did you take going to 35s from 33's. I am getting the itch. I am 90 percent sure im going to a 3.5" complete lift and going to go with 35's with a programmer for shift points etc.

I have a 2001 TJ, 4.0, 5spd with 4.56s. On the freeway I gained a couple MPG going from 33s up to the 35s. It lowered the rpms enough to make my engine need less fuel. In town I really don't think it changed anything.

yeah, I have since decided to keep my lift and just add to it. I am stting on the teraflex leveling kit, with lower control arms and Monroe reflex shocks at the moment. I think im upgrading to fox shocks at a later date. I am also staying with 285s as it suits my jeep and I don't NEED bigger.
