More oil related problems

That's what I'm thinking but I have heard it takes a while to notice a change . I kinda just wanted to see if there is a noticeable difference so figured adding it to my existing was worth a shot.

How many pcv valves do we have on the montero? I only see the one on the driver side valve cover? I also see a line on the rear of passenger side valve cover going into the intake tube.

You could also try doing an ATF oil flush with your next oil change, once the engine is warmed up you add a quart of ATF to the oil and let it idle for about an hour and let it sit overnight, then let it idle up to operating temp the next morning and drain it all out. Do not drive the vehicle with the mixture in there. But there is another method where you first drain a quart of oil out before adding the ATF and you can drive it for a few days before draining. ATF has more aggressive detergents and seal conditioners than oil and is safer than most additives so you tend to see better results, also helps with valve and lifter noise on some vehicles.

And I believe we only have one PCV, the one on the passenger side is just a tube.

I ended up getting some Lucas stop leak. I put about 1/2 quart in I'll report back on any changes. I plan to use valveoline high mileage oil next oil change. I read that it is formulated specifically for valve seals. So I'll try that.
