Lift options for my JKU

On 2012+ Wranglers, if longer than original shocks (or shock extensions) are used, the exhaust crossover pipe will contact and ruin the front driveshaft slip yoke boot when the suspension droops.

Solutions for the interference are exhaust extensions ($20 - $50) which move the crossover pipe an inch or so to the rear,
a new crossover pipe (approx $200) which reroutes the pipe entirely,
or a new double cardan, smaller diameter driveshaft (approx $500).

I used the first option on my 2012 with no negatives to report when I installed my 2.5" Teraflex suspension. Teraflex has a video on youtube covering this issue.

Good info but I have a 2007

For control and ride in addition to the control arm brackets , I would also consider installing a rear track bar bracket which raises the rear trackbar mounting at the axle by a couple of inches. This puts the vehicle roll center back into a better zone as originally engineered = less tippy ride. This was one of the reasons that I selected the Teraflex 2.5" kit - they have a nicely engineered bracket that is very stout.

When I placed my order for the springs and shocks the other night I also ordered the Rubicon Express rear trackbar relocation bracket, rear extended swaybar endlinks and rear brake line relocation brackets

Gotcha, you've got it covered!

Now I just gotta wait till it's all delivered! Trying to be as patient as possible. I'm actually due for new front brake pads which I'll replace when I do the lift. Could really notice it after I got my new tires installed last week. Brake pedal is super spongey.

I'll research drop brackets tonight. Thanks again Kojack. Yes control is my top priority so feel free to suggest anything else that would help. Tires, shocks and springs were last week so I don't have a huge budget.

If you go drop brackets, get the Rancho set. They are welded together, not bolted together like the AEV/JKS (same) and the "adjsustability of the AEV/JKS is an over-rated feature.

Better look again, JKS are one piece and the adjustability is a much needed feature if you want to dial in your drive line. Furthermore, The AEV are fine as well. I have seen many sets used without failure.
