Great work. If you ever decide to drive tougher terrain you can do what I did. Just add another receiver for your basket. Mounting it up here will allow you to open your tailgate without having to take things off.

I have a hard top, this wouldn't work for me. I really wouldnt want to weld something like that to my new JK which is my daily driver. This basket is only temporary anyway. I am starting new front and rear bumpers after I get back from the trip next weekend

that basket is some good work. If it is only temporary for you let me know when you are done using it. I can give it a permanent home.

It would be a bear to ship. It is pretty hefty. I probably will find a way to work it into the trailer I will build over the winter, suppose selling it would be an option though.

If you are ever through MO you can just drop it off.

I just noticed you caps have the yellow strap on your caps. That usually indicates they are for diesel instead of gas. The difference is the gasket they use in the cap. The wrong gasket will break down over time (not sure how long it takes) and will cause them to leak. Not sure how big of a deal this is but there is a difference between the two gaskets.

Yeah, thats what color they came with. Didn't care enough to change the strap. They DO have viton gaskets though not the rubber ones. I bought brand new ones when I got the cans

Good deal. The ones I have are the Military issue and they don't have a colored strap. When I was in the Army most of the fuel we used was diesel but there were somethings that used regular gas. I am assuming mine has the gaskets for diesel.
