Love Being In The Dog House (trailer)

So after a few times using the trailer and carrying stuff behind the battery box I knew I need some tie down points. I remembered that I had a couple pieces of track from my old fridge mount. Worked out well.

Looks great! Have been toying with the idea of getting a trailer as well...we will call it a maybe 2017 project after I finish building out the 200.

I am also considering building a water system behind the drivers seat just in from of where a clamshell storage box will be taking up the 60% version of the 2nd row. Sorry if I missed it, but where did you source your tank from?

I think the whole water fill through the tail light is probably both unnecessary and redundant. If your tank is properly vented then there is no reason why you cannot fill the tank via the drain petcock/valve that you have installed. Hook up your fill hose to the valve, open the valve, wait for water to exit your vent line, close the valve. Simple.

Is this the way you have it set up on your trailer?

Awesome. Are those 4runner rims? I wanted a lug pattern that matched my LC, but cannot find hubs that are 5x150 so I settled on the Toyota 6x5.5 since I have extra rims from when I had my Tacoma.

Yep! Good eye!
I picked up a set of 2015 Trail rims that match my 2015 T4R...might have to add some spidertrax spacers to them though...the 285/70/17 sidewalls are awfully close to the leaf springs. Now I have interchangeable rims/tires and spare.

I had that type on my last trailer, but cant find the hubs on this one so I need to figure out where to put a spare for the trailer. The do make hub adapters I could use and would only be used in that situation if needed.

I'm still building my 4runner...its lifted, has full skids, and rock rails, and a few internal mods...just waiting on my front and rear bumpers to be completed. I will have a rear tire carrier on the bumper so that's my spare for the truck and trailer. If I blow two tires on a single trip, then the trailer will get left behind....and then I'll probably start carrying two spares! It never ends!

So how is the double din as far as watching movies. I really wanted to do a setup like this so I can run 12v, but I have been worried about the small screen size.

i dig this trailer and seems like a good buy for the money!

It is. It has been a very good trailer

No as good as my 10" tablet, but only about 4' from it if I were laying down in the trailer. Sound is awesome and having a remote is a plus.

No, but I have been pressure filling tanks for a very, very long time. What you have set up is a gravity filling system, I'm merely pointing out that you have all of the components in place to pressure fill, without having to mess with removing and replacing a taillight to accomplish the task.

Allot of places where I camp there is not always a pressurized water hose to fill my tank. I cannot rely on there always being a hose connected to a pressurized system to fill my tank.

Any garden house is a pressurized system filling system.

Attach any plain old garden hose to your drain spigot.

Open your drain spigot.

Turn on the hose.

Wait for water to escape your vent, or listen for the gurgle, then close your spigot.

Turn off hose.

Close your drain spigot and disconnect.

You're done, easy. You're just filling the tank from them bottom and not the top.
