Jeep WK2 Build

Thanks, Jason911.

You are most certainly welcome. I know the Aussies have done a couple of second battery installs on the WK2 - I believe all of them were externally mounted, tucked up somewhere near the rear suspension. I think the website ausjeepoffroad.com would be a good place to look.

Ive been following this thread - I too have a 2014 WK2, with a ARB 37, powered through the 12v port in the back. I use ARBs battery protection monitor and set it to "low" - I can use the fridge for about 19 hours without having to restart the vehicle. I switched the circut in the Jeep so the rear power outlet was always live(anyone can, it's in the owners manual). The fridge only draws .83 amps after its sufficiently cooled.

Yep, exact same setup.

Help, my manual tells me to contact the dealer to switch the circuit for the rear power outlet.

Thanks.

Early on you mentioned 'park/exit mode' and some of your pictures seem to show the jeep at different suspension heights. Can you describe this a little more? Are there different suspension settings for in road and 4x4 etc?

The settings are Park/Exit, Normal, Aero/Sport(slightly less than normal) - .5" speed >60mph, ORA1 - +1.5"Speed =<45mph, ORA2 - +2.6" speed =<25mph.

IF you have a 2014 or later - the fuse in the F90 position (under the hood/bonnet) needs to be moved the F91 position for power in the rear too be live all the time.

They are 275/65/18 Duratracs on Mopar 18" rims. I have no clearance issues at any setting including exit. I have also been on some intermediate rocky trails and again no issues. Im very pleased with the fit and performance.

This is very helpful info for me down the road. I would really like to add a JGC to my garage someday, and this whole build thread is very helpful.

Love seeing someone do this with a WK2! We had one for a little while but ultimately traded it for a JKU, we were definitely pushing the limits of what a stock WK2 can handle. There's a few other guys with WK2's that go out to Moab with us for Grand Slam West as well, you should check it out: www.grandslamwest.org

I think I met you outside of Centennial Gun Club a few months ago as I was oogling over your WK2.... Great build! I'll definitely be stealing some of your build ideas for my own WK2. Keep up the awesome work.
