Looking good!
I am anxious to run gas. I have a larger machine in the works. I will run a bottle off of that from the start.
The 2.5" tube is 1/8" wall.

I'm about ready to get back on track with the trailer build. It has been a busy few weeks at the house with not much time for garage projects. I had stopped work on the trailer to build a proper welding cart and am almost finished with that. It will speed up the trailer build in the long run.
I still need to finish the bottle mount area as well as add some hooks, and then it will be ready for some paint and call it good.

Added the interior pieces and finished welding the main frame.
Love the build so far! Question, what size is your final frame dimensions?

Thanks! The cart was just a necessity. Something I probably should've done a long time ago. Buying one would be too easy. What I really wanted out of it was practice welding the thin wall tube and working with the 16ga sheet. That will be the basis of the boxes I build, so this cart project helped to dial me in with the welder.

The main frame is exactly 4'x6'. I could've gotten away with a 5'x7', but I had always just planned on the basic 4x6. Gotta draw the line somewhere.
Thank you! I have not started researching water tanks yet. I am currently planning to store it in the forward area of the main box, so a simple rectangle tank will do the trick. I don't think I will be trying to shoehorn it in anywhere, so I'm pretty open.

I spent a couple minutes yesterday evening working on the forward 'fender skirt'. I am not shy to admit that I am not the best at complex angle finding. It proved to be easiest for me to cut and trim until I got the angles and dimensions correct.
Obviously, the next step is to trim and cap the end of that outer long piece.
After that piece is done, it's on to 'connecting the dots' and building the actual fender.....then duplicating everything for the other side.
It will all be skinned with 16ga diamond plate.
The spacing that exists is to allow room for a 35" tire. That is a 31" currently.
I don't currently have any storage expectations for this front area, so the small size is not a concern. It will function as a solid step if needed. The rear skirting is sized to hold up to a standard BBQ grill propane tank.
Obviously, the next step is to trim and cap the end of that outer long piece.

My new welder came in. I went with an Easy Mig 140. I was considering the 180, but decided to keep it simple and stay with a 110v unit for portability. It will handle anything I plan to weld with no problem.

While the 35" tire was in place, I was able to take measurements for the fenders.
I got those cut and tacked.
There will be additional cross supports in place once these are fully lined out.
The fenders are rather long, but making them long allowed them to not be as tall. This will help to make more room for the side boxes, and potentially allow them to be used as a work surface.
I also redesigned the front fender skirt. I like the look much better and it will actually serve a bit more function.
