In an effort to get some action here in the Expedition Portal motorcycle section I wanted to share some images from rides here in northern Patagonia.
These were all taken last month, early season. We had a good week without rain and good temps. These images are from the Los Lagos region of Chile. We based out of Puerto Varas and rode all the area south including the second largest Island in Chile Chiloé Island.
(The largest island of Chile is Tierra del Fuego, shared island with Argentina)
Enjoy, Ride, Inspire!!
Chiloé Island. My buddy Curt getting some alone time. Likely thinking this is awesome...
On the road to the top of Volcan Osorno. Group shot over looking Lago Llanquihue and Osorno.
A road almost impassable by seasonal rains, Chiloé Island. We made it though with a bit of pushing and some throttle.
Volcan Osorno
The road to Cachamo, crossing the Rio Petrohue as it flows into the Reloncaví Estuary. Very special place and one amazing route including a ferry crossing of the estuary later in the day.
Chileans love the BBQ, Cooking two steaks over an open fire for us.
Wind swept trees near Frutillar, a small town with a heavy German influence.
Night out, a local restaurant opened up just for us in Cucao Chiloé Island. Amazing food and drinks. It was great because the lodge we stayed in that night was right next door. Pushed the bikes from one parking area to the other after our feast.
Just a fun photo of our Mosko Moto bags. These bags are amazingly stout and well designed.
