For those of you who have a stove on a slide-out in the back of your SUV, do you ever have an issue with food smells being absorbed into the fabric of the vehicle's interior?
That is a great question, as I just finished my setup over the holidays.
Have not used it yet, but looking forward to it.
I sure hope the cooking smell does not get absorbed into the interior.
If you are a once a month camper, not really. If you use the stuff on a regular basis of course it will. That's the trade off of having all that stuff readily accessible. That and if you didn't plan for an awning over your hatch or door enjoy cooking in the rain. That's why I never went hard mount with anything other than a fridge.
Yes, plus I can always just set the stove too on a table.Your setup looks like it is offset enough to exhaust the smells, but a lot of setups have the stove sitting right by the bumper and next to the rear door.
