Sorry been out with work the last few days. I got my matte black : salta wheels ordered as well as the pro cal. Tires are still are a bit of an issue lol. I was thinking I had made up my with 37s, I had found a bunch of people that put 37s on their trucks with minimal trimming. Well in talking with my tire guy he had some reservations. I even called AEV and they said it was a no go without a lift. So that leaves me either getting 35s and just going with that or getting the 37s now, because of the rebate, and putting them away until we get the lift. Even with the all the above info I still am not sure what to do about the tires hahaha...

ttengineer: Nice, I had a hard time deciding between the 2500 and 3500. It came down to the 2500 mostly for the stock ride and a lack of availability of 3500s in the area. Knowing what I know now about aftermarket rear suspension kits, we probably should have held out for a 3500... I have looked pretty hard at the AEV kit, I even went and took a quick tour of their facilities in Michigan. I am less worried about hitting the trails at speed as much as Im looking for an increase articulation and balance off road, all while maintaining load capacity. Basically I looking to have my cake and eat it too lol. Good to hear about the Nittos, thanks.

Regcabguy: Yeah I have read lots of really good things about CJC. I called them last week and spoke to a gentlemen there that recommended the Carli leveling kit. He said there was a guy there with that kit and a rack with a rtt. He said the truck rode well and handled weight really well given it still had the stock rear springs. Ill have to check out that other link, I have never heard of them before. Thanks.

Buliwyf: I take it you haven't had good up with the km3s in the snow lol? Either way these won't be a full time tire, mostly just when needed. As far as I know 35s fit stock. Leaving the suspension stock is obviously the best option for work but I am willing to take a slight hit there to increase capability. Ill check out those springs here, thanks.

Kingsize24: Will do as soon as I get a day free from work where its not raining lol. Good to hear another positive review about the AEV system. Thanks for the welcome.

Explorerinil: Thanks we are really enjoying it so far. I am interested in the potential of a fully built kit with airbags, but Im not sure they make a kit where you can run bags with a coil 2500. I did see one guy do it on the cummins forum, I think, but it was a custom build. I take it you have also not had a good experience with bfgs? I will likely hold off on regearing until lockers go in just because ill put the stock tires back on when in DD mode. When we do go for the lockers it'll probably be 3.37s or 4.10s, we are not likely to go much more than thats. Thats great to hear a real world example of where 37s have been an advantage for you. So much of what I have read have been guys doing 37s and larger just for looks. Thanks.

tatanka48: Thanks for the reminder, I guess I dont remember it being that narrow. Granted when coming around the bend in to opposing traffic, things got really narrow really fast lol. It sounds like you have a bunch of experience there and a several different vehicles, which was your favorite? Yeah from reading the cummins forums it sounds like there are a bunch of guys that would like an 8' bed on the mega cab. That was just a little too much truck for us, we wanted to maintain at least some sort of semblance of maneuverability lol. As for warming my wife up on the loop, it was definitely a gamble, I wanted to capture her with the beauty of it, but I worry that I may have over sold her haha. Though I will say she is really getting excited about all of the learning opportunities that exist for our son/future children. Thanks.

Tex68w: That is a good point about the tire size and is one of the reasons I've been struggling with pick a size lol. Its good to hear another perspective. Also, thank you for your service.

Thank you all again for your inputs. They have been helpful. I will make sure to post some updates on here as they come about, and I try to get some pictures up soon.

Thanks,
Runner

I don't have any rubbing(after heating the front fender liners with a heat gun)with Toyo MT 315/70/18's on stock suspension, and Method Race Wheels 305 | NV HD | Matte Black
[*Size, Bolt Pattern, Offset/Spacing:18x9 | 8x6.5 | 18/5.75"].

You can run air bags on a rear colic sprung 2500, there are several companies that make kits. On my old 14 2500 I ran a thuren overland kit with rear air bags that sat next to the rear coils.

That's the same offset/back spacing that I am running on my Method Vex, unfortunately however, they are no longer offering that setup in the Vex. I went that route because it provided the closest specs to the factory wheels while still providing an improved footprint that didn't interfere with the truck much if any at all. I am running the Thuren +1.5" coils up front and 37x13.50x18 Toyo RT's and I had to do very little trimming.
