:sombrero: Please don't think I'm Hi-jacking, cause this is for YOU
If you insulate your hard top, (inside) you can ALLOW the AC to do a good job, besides keeping it 15/30-% cooler and 25/50% quieter inside
It can be done cheaply and looks fairly cheap, unless you're expert on auto interior, or
"off road heroes" makes a JK hardtop kit with Velcroed and fitted sew'n edges, plus, JC Whitney has auto, thermal-acustic "shinny side" insulation and "sticky Stuff" spray adhesive
My wife really enjoys the hiwy access trips now, because it's cool and she can use her cell phone, with no PROBLEMO and off-road with the windows down, it's COOL
OK, I'm done-cheers

Great report!
Nice. I hadn't given that (or many other useful ideas) any thought whatsoever. I shall investigate further. A happy wife is a happy wife..
What kind of rack are you using? I'm looking for something and haven't really seen anything that floats my boat. I'm also on a budget, but could probably spring for something if push were to come to shove...

Very cool selection of the Moab area. I am anxious to see those photos from the D300...
Tracy's shooting the D300 and I'm shooting a Canon EOS 50D. I've got slightly better glass, but otherwise the results are remarkably similar. I've thrown in a few of her shots in prior posts (and will continue to do so), and will leave it to you to figure out which ones they are..

John-
Good call. I often can't with my monitor. I was in no way indicating your photos were substandard...they are quite the contrary. I love to see how people will photograph some of my most favorite areas of the desert...often in ways I could never expect to.
Anxious to see more...
