Love the color! Making some good progress. Maybe I missed it but what kit did you go with?

Thanks! I went with the Rubicon Express kit (5.5 in heavy duty Long Arm kit) with Advance Adapters slip yolk eliminator, Tom Woods drive shaft, 4.56 gears, Aussie Lockers front and rear... 100% beef :smiley_drive:

Nice looking rig.

My XJ had the same faded flares. I used a couple cans of Krylon "Fusion". It is meant for plastic and it is not glossy, and has held up great for the 3 years, even midwest winters.

It would be worth it since those black rims look so nice.

I'm planning to break the fenders in action, get Hanneman front Jeepspeed fenders and then probably trim and cut the rear fenders up to better flex in hairy situations...

Do you like the hid's? I almost replaced mine with the HID's but everything I read on the net over a few days, said that they blind on-comming traffic. I noticed that you have the beam directors in the lens of the XJ's headlight. I wonder if that would help. Did you notice a change from the Halogens?

I replaced the headlight housings on my ZJ with a stock style housing (beam directors in the lens v.s. the bling clear lens with the director in the housing), and added some HB1 Hella bright whites. They work well, but not as well as the PIA's I had on my XJ. Thinking about throwing the HID kit in there. 6000 vs 3500 with the Hellas. That should make a huge difference I would think...

I got the full kit from BajaHID.com. Tony is a great guy to work with and will hook you up nicely. The HID's are Xentrec brand with Autopal housings. Hi/Lo beam - none of the low beam only crap. The housings came with a backup H4 bulb in each box so if I ever break one, I can just plug in a halogen and be on my way (would look weird, but would get me home).

Difference? Night and day. The difference is amazing. I have 5000K in and they are perfect color. It's what all the Jeepspeeds use on their HID lights. I like doing mods in order of practicality and usefulness...this was DEFINITELY useful and I can't wait to use them on the trail in Mammoth this weekend!

Fun build, I didn't know Custom 4x4 Fab was still in business.

I have one question for MTNTECH, what brand is your snorkle?

I have a safari snorkle and had to trim fender flare material to get mine to fit. My fender flares come up to the body flare like yours.

Cherokee is coming along very nicely. Great job.

Mike, MTNTECH is running an Airflow snorkel, another offering from AUS.
