I was always thinking this would be a great combination even for towing (4-door, LB, with a Flippac). I will be watchign this one, and if you come to Prescott to have the Flip Pack installed, please let us know, I would love to see it.

I drive a 2006 Ram 1500 Megacab, KORE Recon suspension and 35" Toyo MTs (which replaced the BFG ATs).
If I had it to do over again I would look probably look harder at the Carli suspension.
Truck is awesome on washboard roads but the front shocks (Bilstein 5100s) bottom out in ruts and potholes and the end links rattle due to play in the rod ends. They're not worn, they just rattle.
I like the Carli front end upgrade kit as well, it moves the steering damper up and out of harms way.

wow that would be huge!!! but maybe cool. I wish I had gotten a pic of this truck i seen at eagle lake. F250/350 on MT's and it had some type of tent/awning built onto a custom rack that went around the camper shell. tire sat up top and it was just a beautiful ride. i did not want to be rude and disturb them so I kept my distance but I bet I made 20-30 trips around the loop just to see it.

Ditto on that. I'm running Kore's front coils on my 2500. They work real well with the exception of my driver's side being 1.2" lower measured from the ground up to the wheel well arch. The installer mentioned it to Kroeker(owner) with no response. I'll be getting Thuren's or Carli's soon. Great customer service from Carli or Thuren. Great service from Sean Lorenz also.

Thanks you guys for all the responses! There has been some great info shared. I checked out Carli suspension web site and they seem to have some great kits as well. There performance 2.0 kit is really tempting! I also like the idea that I can slowly upgrade there kit as time goes on if I have a need to. Thats a huge selling point. I also love there long travel air bags that work in conjunction with there full leaf replacement packs. This is one well thought out suspension package. It delivers the excellent on road drivability we all need as Overlanders. Plus the excellent off road ability our trucks need. Now this isnt a kit to go out a run the Baja 1000 in (you can upgrade it to though) but it will greatly improve the comfort of the passengers and the capabilities of the Dodge 3500 off road. This is a great combo.

Well I just got off the phone with "Shawn" at Carli. These people really know there suspension! They also strive for customer satisfaction. Other companies out there could learn a little from them. I will be going with the Carli 2.0 suspension after all. I will post more later as things progress. Thanks again for all the responses. Keep them coming.

After a week of driving back and forth to Denver , Co. with my wife (3 times!) and once to reno my life is finally back to normal! The wife help me deliver an armored vehicle and a snowcat I sold to a friend. problem was another friend has my trailer so I drove to Denver to pick one up from my friend I sold the vehicles to. The armored vehicle weighed in to much to add the snow cat to so 2 more trips were the order of the day. I can now order my Flippac and other goodies. I just installed a set of BFGoodrich AT to my Land Yacht! They are 33" inches tall and ride very nice on the highway. I have always liked the BFG ATs. After I get my Carli suspension installed I will get a set of 35" MTs. Most likely I will go with the BFGs there as well. These will be for the spring time wheeling and the ATs will be for everything else. Here are a few pics of our trip and of the new ATs installed.

Next order of business will be to get off all the road TAR! Way to much road work going on! Ive never seen perfectly good roads ground down just to have them re paved. There are plenty of crappy roads that should have been torn up. Waste of money! Anyway here are some more pics from the trip. Oh there was some Graffiti at one of the rest ares along the way. Who the hell has a can of paint way the hell out here? Anyway I think its a sign of the times.

About the BFGoodrich ATs. I found them to be very quiet even at 78 MPH. They have excellent street handling characteristics and have a very low rolling resistance. I averaged 22.4 mph on the flat runs with my milage dropping to 17.3 in the mountains (no trailer). I am running 3.73 gears and at 75 MPH My engine is running at 1,800 rpm. This is the peak torque rating for this Cummins Diesel. The BFGs are also excellent in the snow which my truck sees 7 months out of the year. Wet pavement handling is also excellent. There were quit a few thunder storm showers during our trip to down right heavy rains at times. My last set on my other truck lasted 50,000 miles and still had some acceptable tread left when I changed them out. They wear like Iron!
