    Small but Perfectly Formed!

It is an absolute pleasure to share it. If it encourages anyone to dream as much as we do then that's were the adventure starts. Hope you enjoy these shots too... Our dreams are made of big skies... And even bigger smiles...

8700 miles, 602cc and not a lot of road!

It may be cheeky but I have only just realised that this is where I should have been posting a thread of travels completed. Our thread "Small but Perfectly Formed" has had some lovely feedback on the sub-thread "Expedition Vehicles: Cross-over SUV vehicles and others". Hope you enjoy the story...

    adventure using biodiesel from chocolate

Good call starting this thread, Haven. We met this chap at a seminar on expedition planning by the Royal Geographical Soc (London Nov 2008). His trip was thoroughly inspirational and really made you realise that you did not have to have all the answers before you enter into doing a trip like...

    Small but Perfectly Formed!

Of course when you have survived the wildlife and wilderness... river.. and gunpoint (funnily enough no photos of that one either!), you hobble towards the finish after 31 nonstop days,5 miles to go... the city of Ulan Baataar at last materialising between the Mongolian hills to be greeted head...

    Small but Perfectly Formed!

Never a dull moment! Though breakdowns have their advantages... We got to meet amazing people, and I actually got a chance to take some photos from a stationary position rather than the multitude of blurred offerings taken on the move! Not easy on the famous corrugations with no shock absorbers...

You are so right! We heard her too:luxhello: Cant deny the adventures are most fun when you are out the other side and still in one piece though! Sorry this is a wordy tale, you'll see why there was not much chance for piccies..... We weren't so comfortable when only a day after the first...

    Small but Perfectly Formed!

Sorry, girlie-half back, just one adventure..Of course when sand and ruts do win, your front wheel actually is no longer attached and you are somewhere random in the middle of the Gobi desert, creativity really gets stretched...The front kingpin had sheared and Buffy's days looked numbered only...

    Small but Perfectly Formed!

Ha ha! Other part of the team here, I'd have to say Buffy was hero too but Wayne did manage a fairly extraordinary range of on the spot tweaks and recoveries... washing up liquid is a great lubricant if your rear swinging arm gives up the ghost! We had to retrace 15 miles of non-road in the...

    Small but Perfectly Formed!

We introduced Buffy to this site in response to thread "Does anyone know what this is?" and she raised a few smiles. So in brief, this is her tale... Bought from the other end of the UK with more rust than floors and no MOT, I rebuilt her (now christened Buffy the Empire Slayer) in 6 weeks, to...

    Anyone Know What This Is?

No worries. With a large sieve and a little more practice at getting photos to stay attached, I'll get a new thread up later today. Cant sing the praises of the ol' girl enough. Just on plans for her successor...

    Anyone Know What This Is?

The Dyane's older sister, the Citroen 2CV, is certainly an awesome expedition vehicle! Ours, Buffy the Empire Slayer, took us from London to Ulan Baataar, Mongolia in 2006. 8700 miles of which over 4000 had no surface at all! Both she and the Dyane boast 29hp max (when new, which they never...
