I welded in a CJ7 tailgate only becouse my m100 was already cut out for one.
If it's a WW2 trailer or M100 and it's in great shape don't cut it. Cut all the others LOL
Use stainless steel hinges on your CJ7 tailgate like I did on my M100.
The stock steel ones rust up and then you wreck the tailgate.
I painted mine olive green like the trailer I did not want the bling.
I had to get rid of the bling (the crome gas cover had to go) So I painted it
non reflective camo brown to match the tire cover and to tarp on my M100.
This is a picture of my m100 from the back showing the Jeep tailgate.
and My CJ7 that I took apart to replace the frame.
If you use a Jeep CJ tailgate us stainless steel hinges.
I'll take some new pictures of the inside of the tailgate.
All my CJ7 tail gates are on my trailers.
I traded in my 01 TJ for a 05 Rubicon my new tow rig.
I'll have to get some pictures up as to what it looks like now towing
the M100.The side steps are now gone.
I got greaseable spring bolts from Crown Automotive they deal in Jeep parts.
I might get some New Springs or use my buddys old ones that are the right size.
Nice job on your trailer. I've got a M100 but I'm missing the military pintle
Is that for sale? if It is please Email me sevenslotgrills@aol.com
