    I used CJ front spindles and welded a tube to them added spring mounts and you are ready to go.Don't bother with the dana 35.

    I mounted a small air tank under the hood of my Rubicon. If I need to use air tools I'll mount a bigger tank in the M100.

    Tailgate?

    I welded in a CJ7 tailgate only becouse my m100 was already cut out for one. If it's a WW2 trailer or M100 and it's in great shape don't cut it. Cut all the others LOL

    If my tires on my M100 or Jeep need air I'm all set I installed Kilby's on board air. A Old stlye York air compressor.

    Dawson's M-416 Build

    Use stainless steel hinges on your CJ7 tailgate like I did on my M100. The stock steel ones rust up and then you wreck the tailgate. I painted mine olive green like the trailer I did not want the bling.

    I had to get rid of the bling (the crome gas cover had to go) So I painted it non reflective camo brown to match the tire cover and to tarp on my M100.

    This is a picture of my m100 from the back showing the Jeep tailgate. and My CJ7 that I took apart to replace the frame. If you use a Jeep CJ tailgate us stainless steel hinges. I'll take some new pictures of the inside of the tailgate.

    All my CJ7 tail gates are on my trailers. I traded in my 01 TJ for a 05 Rubicon my new tow rig. I'll have to get some pictures up as to what it looks like now towing the M100.The side steps are now gone.

    I got greaseable spring bolts from Crown Automotive they deal in Jeep parts. I might get some New Springs or use my buddys old ones that are the right size.

    M100 Jeep trailer Project

    I found out the springs are to long on my M100. I think they are for a later model CJ. 41" and it should be 36 1/4". I've got a plan to work on it this winter.

    I got some spring hangers from a 416 and drilled 2 1" holes in the sides to look like the M100 spring hangers.

    Sorry I meant 16" x 4" rims and I run 15" x 6" rims on my M100. You got to paint them Olive green. Crome just does not go.

    Try Ebay look for 1/4 military tailers. don't rule out the M100.

    M100's came with 4" rims. I run 6" rims on my M100. The 6" rims are from a 70's CJ5.
