    Flashlight

I have 3 or 4 Streamlight ProTac 2L lights and they are great. My oldest is about 5 years old. They use CR123s, but the battery life is good, and they are very bright, rugged, and small. They run $50-65, depending on where you find them.

Choosing the right Fridge, how does one know which to choose?

I bought a Dometic (Waeco) CFX-35 from Camping World last fall. I haven't used it much but it has worked well. It was on sale for $500 (on sale now for $530). It's a good buy for a good product. http://www.campingworld.com/shopping/item/portable-fridge-freezer-1-1-cu-ft-/75221

    What would you pay? GX

I bought an 07 with 93K in March for $20,000. It was a 2-owner (ladies) with good maintenance history and showroom clean. I looked for about 3 months before finding this one and figured I couldn't go wrong on the price (KBB was $21,XXX). I think your price is good. If you can get it for...

Where did you mount your HAM radio in your first gen Taco?

Not a Taco, but here's where I mounted an FT-2900 in my 98 (and later 2002) 4Runner. I used the factory radio mount (after removing the CD changer and going with a single DIN radio) and drilled holes in it to match the holes in the radio. I used an external speaker from Radio Shack since...

    Which seat covers?

I had the Smitty's in my last 4Runner. After about 4 months they had faded from tan to pink and were coming apart at the seams. Not high quality stuff.

    2nd Gen 4Runner N130 Reliability

I had a 92 that Toyota covered in 97. I had a 95 that went bad at 137k. Toyota said it had the 'fixed' head gasket so they wouldn't cover it. Major pain to do it. The 92 also had transmission overheating issues, which I have read is common.

    Abandoned/derelict sites

Yeah. I watched 'Tar Creek' on netflix. Interesting and tragic. Gives new depth to the phrase 'I'm from the government and I'm here to help you'.
