    Goal Zero Yeti 400 Experiences?

I bought by Yeti 400 online yesterday from Bed Bath and Beyond, of all places. I used a "20% off one item" coupon code (thankfully the Yeti was not on the long list of excluded items) and got it for $367.99 ($386.85 with tax) and free shipping.

@SLOfizz: In further discussions with John, he seems convinced that the leaks are due to the seal between the J30 (due to either a vertical or horizontal displacement of the top) and the Jeep and not the gasket between the 2 halves of the J30. I'll follow his suggestion first and then try the...

@trailfrog: Thanks for the tip. Easier than velcro in that only one pad is needed (don't need to perfectly align a square on both the underside of the cushion and corresponding spot on the floor). Based on your suggestion, I'm looking at this product...

    Ursa Minor Pop-Top Jeep JK

@SLOfizz, thank you for the response. The leaks are with the top down. I don't know if leaks with the top up as I haven't tested that yet. So far, John has asked me to release the tensioning bolts that anchor the front of the J30 to the rollbar. This will allow the top to rise so that I can...

Interesting. On current models, all surfaces are fiberglass. Is the floor of your J30 also wood surfaced?

Has anyone added velcro to the underside of the cushion/mattress segments? Mine slide all over, and I'm thinking this will be necessary.

Thanks. Are your panels wood-faced, or is that just textured plastic?

Can you post some pics/commentary of how you dealt with leaks on your newest generation J30? Mine leaks like a sieve (nothing minor about it, unfortunately) in only modest rain and I seem to be one of the few (if not only) "new" J30 owners to have this issue. John has not been forthcoming with...

That's interesting. Are you able to provide a pic of exactly what you did?

    Ursa Minor Pop-Top Jeep JK

Yes, I'm surprised too. I read every page of this thread (and others elsewhere) and tracked the evolution of leakage issues as experienced by early adopters and it did seem that these issues had been dealt with. I don't really see anyone else with a "next generation" J30 with leakage issues...

Yes, I would consider yourself very lucky. Perhaps the guys took the time necessary to install everything correctly and perform the extra siliconing and caulking necessary to install a watertight fit. Pretty sad that we're all ponying up the same amount of cash but receiving such variations in...

    Ursa Minor Pop-Top Jeep JK

Well, the honeymoon came to a crashing halt here with #140. I experienced rain for the first time last night, and awoke on Thanksgiving morning to find the top leaking heavily at the front edges of both front doors and the rear passenger door. The rain was steady overnight but not hard. I...

I'm not so sure about that...for some folks, the wife sleeps below :ylsmoke:

What are the approximate sizes of yourself, your wife, and your dog? Plenty of room for myself (5'7" and 175#) and my wife (5'7" and 120#). Length is not really an issue, but width could be. Thankfully for us, her slimness offsets my girthiness :) I would imagine that a small dog could fit...

    Ursa Minor Pop-Top Jeep JK

No, it is not yet assembled. If mine is any comparison, then any add-ons won't be installed until the top is fully assembled and in place on the Jeep. I just saw the white top shell with a sticky note with "#138" on it :)
