i'm building one because i've got the material available for free as opposed to buying a prebuilt unit :) it will look somewhat similar to the JCR bumper. two recovery points and connection for my towbar all built in.
post pics of the antenna when you get it mounted. always like to see what other people come up with.
mine is a window mount (looks like a tall old school car phone antenna). it's good for about a half a mile. i didn't care about distance since it's really only used on the trail to talk to...
i'm running their 4" kit on my TJ and it rides like it did stock.
i think all of the rough ride comments come from people with too much air in their tires or the crazy idea that their Jeep is a Cadillac.
the regulator/motor assembly is going to be the fix for the windows.

i run an Aussie in the front of my TJ, and will be putting one in the front of my XJ shortly.
i would definitely NOT lock a D35. put that money toward a D44 or Ford 8.8 replacement :)
