I have a 2018 DCSB, pretty much how you described(tech, not prem, etc) Not a factory hardshell tonneau, cheap amazon roll-up. Have about 5k on it. Transmission frustrated me initially. Have the ECT alway on mod. Helps(I live in the hills), but, just driving it how it needs be, the trans learns...

LOL, I hear that. After my Jeep, I'm trying to keep my Taco as low key as possible.... bought the TRD, threw some decent rubber on, and running it. Cant wait to move back..... Enjoying your thread... especially the beach pics... dont know if its making me more, or less homesick though....lol...

Picked up my '18 Taco a month ago(a little more than that I guess?).... Has the new engine, and 6spd. I'm learning to live with it. Toyota has a little way to go before adding the 6spd to the 4R. On that note, I've been trying to get her to warm up to a TRD OR 4R.... but, getting her out...

I'm happy with my Taco, mostly(I prefer a stick, but, my wife cant drive one). Bang for the buck, goes to the Frontier in my opinion. Just as reliable, and I live in New England, and i never see them with rot.... They can be had for a good price, I'd personally go after a 2nd gen, with a 6mt...

You know, iats funny, I'm 5'8, and my wife is touch higher.. I'm actually pretty comfortable, and she says she is good. She prefers the Charger though(the hemi, sticky tires, and brakes).... Anyway, while I'm not in love with the transmission... went down to the city to do some stuff... and...
