    Is suspension upgrade necessary for...

Stock suspension will be fine for that camper and drawers. When/if you get to step 2 then look into suspension options. I have the extended cab 2wd colorado, so payload capacity's are a bit different but mine handles larger loads just fine.

    ARB 37L fridge help

You said you checked the compressor is getting power with a test light however a test light will glow with low voltage. Use a volt meter, I bet you have a corroded wire in there, fridge can't pull the amps it needs. I had this problem, fridge was getting 12 volts but wouldn't turn on. Ran on...

    Ford Escape e/x Build

I had no idea they sold them with the doughnuts mounted under, that's good to know. I look forward to seeing what you do with the storage area, it ain't much space but it really helps when packing the rig up.

    Ford Escape e/x Build

I noticed you mentioned mounting the spare on the roof, don't have time to read the whole thread right now so maybe this is useless information. None the less, ford sold the escapes with the standard doughnut tire in the back. However they had an option for a full size spare that mounts below...

PROJECT PAYLOAD, 2007 Harley Edition F250

Thanks, I figured they'd be heavy but I had hope lol they look good, and are a true beadlock. But if you say they're heavy, no way I'm mounting them on my V6 explorer. And that's cool, I figured you can't say. So when's the swing out happening? And whatcha gonna do with all that free space...

PROJECT PAYLOAD, 2007 Harley Edition F250

Nice truck, but it's a shame someone hit it. Can't imagine what the other vehicle looked like after that. Did you happen to weigh those wheels? And if you don't mind me asking, what do you do for work?

    08 Ranger

Check out explorerforum.com and rangerstation.com for some truck specific stuff. You won't find much for these trucks, it's not a Toyota or Jeep so it's blacklisted in the offroad world. Check Rlc welding for bumpers.

Shopping for My next Rig, in an Under-served Market Segment

You're correct, there's no low range. I do believe the front and rear are locked in 4wd. Don't hold me to that though. IMO the escape doesn't really need 4low, if you want something with car like handling then 4low is more for bragging than a neccasity. Low range isn't the only thing you need...

Shopping for My next Rig, in an Under-served Market Segment

I think you're underestimating the escape. They do very well offroad aside from the v6 model having the Alternator so close to the front tire. But I'm always suprised at how good my mom's escape is whenever I get behind the wheel.
