37” tyres - opinions on what you have

I am looking to replace a set of Gladiator MT 37” tyres on my NPS, and was hoping for a few opinions on the available options (in Oz). I am looking for an all terrain tyre- less aggressive than the gladiators. Atw have a gladiator AT or Patriot rugged terrain and Truck Supersingles have Radar...

    Trackmaster Tyre Recall

I have had the gladiators on for around 45000kms, they are now worn and impossible to balance- I should have been more diligent on rotation and probably would have gotten another 10k on them. They have been an awesome tyre, once aired down to suit the conditions there is no stopping the...

Just got off ferry in Tasmania and water pump is leaking... Anyone know

We paid around $2200 with the caravan, around 14m long a year ago. Have your truck measurements to tell them for the quote- as mentioned above make sure you are not quoted the rate for a commercial truck. Mine is not registered as a camper. Worth going down, tassie is awesome.

    Legality Of Tyre Size

It was my understanding that the NHVR - National Heavy Vehicle Reguator looks after any modifications to heavy vehicles- ( vehicle over 4.5t)?? Before I had engineering for my wheels and tyres I had to submit a form to them and wait for there reply paperwork- didn’t happen in a hurry!

    Isuzu brakes...are yours like this?

Cheers javajoe, i was worried if I went to far I wouldn’t be able to back them off, will adjust them and see how it goes

    Isuzu brakes...are yours like this?

Hmm ... pretty sure they are supposed to self adjust. The adjuster is not like the older models, there is only a small hole where it adjusts. If you want to back them off to remove the drum you have to insert an Allen key or similar to push a spring/ wire back so you can back them off. If you...

    FG Tyre experiences

I have learnt that you will need to carry 2 spares. As you have mentioned any of the super single tyres are not commonly stocked, especially away from the capital cities... learnt that the hard way unfortunately

    Isuzu brakes...are yours like this?

Hi, hoping for some advice on the brakes on the nps. I know they aren’t the greatest and have read some older posts of problems other members have had, thankfully I don’t have the same issues as them. As far as I know my brakes are supposed to be self adjusting -2013 NPS 300. When I depress...

NPS 300 4x4 SWA Crew cab in South Africa

I actually went over the weigh bridge today as we have upgraded the van that we bought new to an older Bushtracker(respected full off-road caravan). 10t gcm right on the dot!- caravan is bang on 3.5t with a ball weight on the truck of 280kg, so without the caravan truck is 6.220t. This is at...

NPS 300 4x4 SWA Crew cab in South Africa

Yes it definitely slows up considerably on long drawn out hills, to be expected I suppose. Most of the time it will comfortably sit on 90-100km whilst towing. It improved with the chip fitted.

Wow, you certainly do live in a wild place over there! Make you realise how lucky we are in oz. I was just reading your last post on family friendly 4x4 s thread. Maybe you are getting a bit ahead of yourself....I would not write off the nps. As you now know the weight can creep up quickly...
