Solar panels putting out 54% more amps than rated?

Yea a big Ole 8d would fit. Would be sweet but dang they want all the money for them. Remove the tray, slide in a big 8d agm, that would be ideal.

Solar panels putting out 54% more amps than rated?

Hey John, I would love to go that route but the camper has a slide out tray that is pretty limited. I've thought about taking the tray out, that would give me a couple extra inches for a 6V pair but then taking them out or topping off would be a real pain. One big AGM might be a good option...

Solar panels putting out 54% more amps than rated?

Yes yes it was the shunt setting. Apologies for the lag in response. They need to include this expanded manual with every new controller. Values are now correct, fan pulling 3A on high. Very happy with the setup so far. The wife turned on her hair dryer on high and tripped the 100A...

Solar panels putting out 54% more amps than rated?

No Ma thank you. I've just found the TM-2030 technical manual on their website. This was not included with the charger or controller. Kinda silly. It goes into great detail! Hoping this 100 amp shunt will be ok with my system. Has anyone had one overheat? Bogart says its only good for...

Solar panels putting out 54% more amps than rated?

Joe I was not aware there was a shunt setting in the controller. I'm 88% sure its hooked up correctly. I've got an email to Bogart also. The instructions on the controller aren't the best. I'll see if I can find a shunt setting. Thank you

Solar panels putting out 54% more amps than rated?

Hello everyone! I just finished hooking up 4 100W HQST panels on my Arctic Fox 865. They are rated at 18V and 5.94 amps each. I ran my own 4 gauge wire to a Bogart Engineering charger and monitor. It was about 3pm in the afternoon here in northern california, the panels are slanted down...

Ram 2500 diesel with FWC - any concerns with payload capacity?

Or get them 6.4 Hemi. Save yourself 6 grand and add about 800lbs of payload back in. That cummins is heavy....

Very cool thread mate. Love the truck. Does a 37" tire fit in the spare location?

Custom Camper Build - f-350 vs 450/3500 vs 4500, GVRW, Gas

A great point! With that said a diesel upgrade in a Ram is around $8,000. Thats alot of travel money. You can read opinions online all day until your blue in the face. Go drive the trucks and see what you like best. With that said, Ram over Ford any day. The Fords are running on 10+...

    Ford F550 vs. Ram 5500

Wow can't slip anything past you blokes. ... So the massive difference in compression height doesn't make a difference? You cant see the difference in ring size but it is very obvious up close. The MASSIVE difference in connecting rod size doesn't make a difference? Smaller is just as...

    Ford F550 vs. Ram 5500

At least you got one thing right here. The Cummins is a MEDIUM duty engine. Most folks do not realize this. Being classified as a MEDIUM duty engine is a fairly big deal to guys who actually DO WORK. The Ford and Chevy diesels are rated as light duty engines. Yes a boat load of emissions...

Anyone here have a RAM 1500 EcoDiesel?

I'm just going to reiterate what most seem to be saying on here. The Raptor is not build for putting things in or behind the truck. It is build to go fast over rough terrain, that's is. A driver, a co-pilot, two people in the back and an overnight bag for each along with a full tank of fuel...

another prediction that XTerra is finished

Jeep did have problems with the 3.6 pentastar early on. They have however been fixed. I've been a lifetime Nissan fan. With that said the 2013 Wranglers are pretty awesome rigs. Took out a 2 door six speed and had no trouble getting over 22mpg in town, granted I was trying real hard. I've...
