1999 Land Rover Discovery TReK with 75,680 miles- Reduced Price - $6,500 w/extras

Update: So the truck is safe and sound in Wisconsin. I haven't spent much time with it since I bought it. But I have amassed most of the missing parts (mainly armor pieces). It started on the first try this spring and will be getting completed this summer. I'm hoping to wheel it a bit and then...

1999 Land Rover Discovery TReK with 75,680 miles- Reduced Price - $6,500 w/extras

Steve has been nothing but great to deal with regarding the truck. I feel he was more than fair on the price. There are some "incorrect" and missing decals. Plus the AC isn't operational. He came back with a very reasonable price so I could get these small issues resolved. It was loaded onto a...

I hope not! It's supposed to be in a garage waiting for my shipper.

Sorry Soflo....I was next in line and snagged it up. Just finalizing arrangements for shipping to Wisconsin. I think it will be a nice sibling to my G4 ;-)

    Interesting Land Rover Defender

I've been doing a little more research. It seems that there are a few schools of thought to making a hybrid Rover. Some are chopping the tub and roof from a 109" body and adapting it to a RRC/Disco frame. The other is to shorten or lengthen the frame. Shorten for a 88" body or lengthen for a...

    Interesting Land Rover Defender

Anything is possible. I believe you could still have it titled as a Discovery. You'd probably have some "replacement" issues if you were in an accident. But it's not any different than those morons that put Camaro bodies on jack-up 4X4 trucks:smiley_drive: I've already determined that I WILL...

    Interesting Land Rover Defender

100" Defender options I'm REALLY liking the 2 door body that was chopped and put on a RRC frame. The same should be easily possible with a Disco frame.

    Major Stalling Problem In Water

I'd agree with that also. My DI will spit and sputter but not throw a code when encountering deeper water. I really should look at it someday before it completely craps out on me in the middle of a deep puddle. :snorkel:

2004 Land Rover Discovery SE7- Green 59K miles

That TRek caught my attention. But I wouldn't be able to do that truck justice. It needs to be in a private collection and not a daily driver. I even feel bad about driving my G4 sometimes.

2004 Land Rover Discovery SE7- Green 59K miles

I just forwarded the link to a friend that is interested in finding a low milage '04 DII. It's in her price range and looks like a very clean truck.

    Disco II Armor

The QT front guard does require some welding. You can check with Justin but I think there is a Defender guard that will fit w/o welding. I had the QT rear guard on my old DI and it worked flawlessly. I'm running QT guards (front and rear) on my DII. But to be perfectly honest, the truck is...

Post pictures of your Land Rover.

That's TJ's truck. The motor is a Chevy 305 (because that's what he had laying around). It's mated to the FJ40 transmission and transfer case. He had to fabricate the body and motor mounts. But for the most part, it was almost a perfect fit. You'll notice that the front wheel wells were trimmed...

Toy-Roverlander... What did you use for a chassis? A friend of mine has a SIIa on a FJ40 chassis with a small block Chevy motor. He retained the leaf spring set-up from the old Toyota chassis. I like you're set-up a little better.

    Special Edition Disco?

If the body is in good condition, I might be interested. My current SD has a great motor and interior but the body is falling apart. I have some time to drive over to pick something up after this weekend.

eBay find - DEFENDER 110 300 TDI Doormobile

I would disagree with that statement. If it's registered and insured as a "kit car" (hobbiest plates in the state of Wisconsin), then you're covered. I could build whatever Frankentruck that I wanted, as long as it passes an inspection by the State Police. Then I'd be issued a VIN and title. The...
