I think the home depot "coin sheeting" is about 1/8" thick. I put it in the Airstream about a year ago and love it. Sand, mud, wet dogs ect. just wipe it out. I used Bed Rug Van Tread in the van and its durable but it never really comes clean. If I had it to do over again I would have used...
Still working on the shipping 4x4pair. I do want to be clear with all those looking that the reason I'm replacing it with an Aluminess is because I want a winch. It could with some work probably be altered to accommodate a winch but it isn't a winch bumper in its present configuration.
Ford Van Bumper (fits 29-06)
Looking to find a new home for my custom aluminum bumper/grill guard. Made from 1/4" aluminum with 1" for the recovery points. Includes the lights shown. They aren't high dollar (Superbriteleds) but they work really well and I have no complaints. 2x6's are amber...
The dodge top will work with similar year econoline, but you'll lose about 2" in height trimming the edges to fit the steeper slope of the dodge front. This will only work with a fiberine style top. If it had the turned under edge (better top given the choice) you'd have to trim that off...
Update: I'm not going to sell the rack right now. I think I've figured out how to make it work. Thanks for the interest. If you are looking for a rack the system one set up has been good for me and I would recommend it. Btw the rack is 65" wide. I will be selling the gutter mounts which...
Roof Rack
I'm adding a fiberglass high top to my van. As I have been trying to adapt my roof rack set up to the new top I got to thinking that it's a shame to modify it as much as I'm going to have to to make it work with the curved top. So I'm going to put this out there. Before I start...
I've seen 2 by advance and one quigley in person, they looked alright but were too close to stock clearance for my taste. I can't wait to see one Ujoint style on 35-37's with 6"+ lift!
We tow 5000k all day long on mountain roads with 6" Ujoint kit. I don't know much about Chevys though other than towing with a 2000 Chevy 2500 van with the 350 vortec worked fine except the gas mileage was terrible. If the lift feels bouncy or it sits too low in the rear get some airbags.

On a big box of a van the fairing doesn't make any noticeable difference in milage. I have one on my rack for 2 reasons: 1. Noise Reduction (My roof rack sounds like there is a jet engine up there if I don't direct the air over it) and 2. To direct branches, limbs and other overhead obstacles...
For those wondering about towing:
I pull a 5000lb Airstream with my 6" ujoint setup with ujoint installed airbags. I just pulled it from NC to AZ for the West Expo and a 3 week loop through UT and CO. It pulls better than any vehicle i've owned, super stable, airbags keep the trailer nice and...
