Just bought a '22 Frontier SV

Since my project truck was stolen, I've recently replaced it with a '22 Frontier SV. It has less than 8k on it. It'll be 80% daily driver and 20% medium off-road use ((beach, desert, some Ozarks, no rock crawling). My prior vehicles have all been Hummers and Silverados, but the Frontier...

I knew a farmer that was having his stuff stolen...he rigged a 220v line to his tractor and it stopped after the first next attempt...just sayin Another method..defend your property. You say you live in a bad hood, yet your gun is in your truck. There is quite simply nothing like the sound of...

    Goodyear Ultra Terrain Tire

The tire code for that tire is 275 /60 R20 115S SL SBL ... that's a load index of 115 1,215 kg (2,679 lb) I have these on my 2018 Chevy Silverado with a cap and decked system full of gear. I like these tires better than the Duratracs I had on my Hummer...great ride, better around curves...

Thanks man, some great ideas there, especially the shelving...I am gonna use a few of them. Might hit you up when I'm prepping that Durango trip.... Looks like we will probably do a long haul to that area, then bounce back slowly and time it to hit the Tucson Gem & Mineral Shows. I've been in...

Looking for ideas for my 2018 Silverado project

Thanks for the ideas...yes, wife goes with me most of the time. We drive around, explore, get some history and some culture, drive back roads and trails, camp, do whatever we want. 60% of the trips are 4 days or less, but occasionally we do long trips and I'm planning on doing several Eastward...

Looking for ideas for my 2018 Silverado project

Here are some pics, as promised. In one of them, you can see a few of my current projects - onboard air, fan install, a few others. Happy to take questions or get additional advice, y'all have been very nice. RW

truck topper as a place to camp?

I have done exactly that. I went with an ARE topper (budget about $2200) that included LED lighting and three 12v plugs in the back, drop down front window, screens, everything including rear gate seal(a must) I use a DECKED system and put foam in on top (total budget about $1500) but there are...

Looking for ideas for my 2018 Silverado project

Yes, I have been looking at different awning designs and like the DIY ones that use telescoping rods that all fold out...seems relatively simple, lightweight and inexpensive. Have also been playing with some large, superstrong magnets for attachment to tarp, but haven't gotten it down to a...
