Glad to hear things worked out. I'm going to pick one of these up at Costco, precisely because of stories like yours. The SOS feature is one of those things that you hope you never have to use, but if you use it once in your lifetime, it was worth whatever you paid for it.

Budget is roughly $14-18K. I looked at the TC, but for various reasons (mostly wife-related), they didn’t quite fit for us.

After looking at a bunch of different possible trailers, the goldilocks size for us would seem to be 4.5x9 or 5x9. Anything bigger than that seems to be more tongue weight than my Subaru can safely handle. Anyone out there looking to move up to a larger trailer and re-home their smaller...
