3rd Gen 4Runner question - Cluster swap between CDN and US models?

Ditto. Mine came from Quebec. The safety info on the visor is in French and English. The rust on the back is pretty bad. I had to swap out the rear assembly because it was rusted completely through. Wasn't cheap. Come to think of it, I have put nearly as much money into as I paid for it...

    2010 4Runner Trail edition...

Here's one near me: http://www.tarbox-toyota.com/Vehicle.aspx?v=3029467 I have seen two on the road out here. One time on the highway and the other while my wife and I were having pizza at Papa Gino's. Both times my wife was wondering what was wrong with me as I stared at them on their way...

If they brought the Jimny over to the states, would you pick one up?

There was a petition on the Suzuki forum that you could sign and send to Suzuki. http://www.suzuki-forums.com/suzuki-sidekick-escudo-vitara-geo-tracker/24615-official-online-petition-ask-suzuki-bring.html I would definitely give this a look. Unfortunately, Suzuki's resale values are some of...

    AWD with low range

x3 on the Grand Vitara. I had one for a couple years and it drove in the snow almost perfectly. Also, the TC helped pull it through mud that was up to the chassis. There is a lift kit out there for it as well. I put on 40,000 trouble free miles.

    4runner unicorn???

Where I bought my 4Runner, they had just sold a 4cyl 4Runner days before I showed up. They hadn't taken down the ad yet and when I called I was excited to see it but it was gone.:(

    Sweet Hiluxes in "District 9"

Don't worry, I was racking my brain just trying to ID the trucks. Doh! The movie was great and the storyline was totally unexpected.

Suzuki Owners; Let's see your ExPo Trucks

4Rescue: Is this it? http://www.expeditionportal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1491&highlight=vitara+grown Also, I agree about the Jimny. From what I understand, Consumer Reports sued Suzuki in the mid nineties because they felt that the Samurai had a roll over danger...

    2001-2004 Taco + Camper: 4cyl or 6cyl ?

I am currently driving a 4Runner with the 3.4 Auto in it and my wife's dad has a Tacoma Extended Cab with the 2.7 Manual. While his truck does fine in the low gears, it gets a bit wheezy on the highway. It does decent with a light load (hauling furniture), but forget about uphills on the...

    Mahindra 4x4 pickup

Mec, I think you are quoting me quoting someone else. I expect the turbo diesels to have decent acceleration. At least better than the 4cyl trucks offered now. The ones I have driven have a decent off the line acceleration, but get a little wheezy in the top gears. I don't have a problem...

    Mahindra 4x4 pickup

No, actually I don't. But it would be nice to have the option of a high mpg small truck. A quick check at edmunds the best I can find for a 4wd is 20mpg for the 4cylinder GMC Canyon, and I am sure it makes much less power than a diesel would. Also, the other day while bored I "built your own"...
