Probably one of Sean's (paladintrucks). He's based out of Blue Ridge just north of Atlanta. I bought a J53 off of him over a year ago. I drive it almost daily as my commuter vehicle.

I have a some of that TS synthetic line ready to go on a 24v Ramsey winch I still have to rebuild. It's getting mounted on my Mitsu-Jeep J53 when it's done. It's only about a 3200 lb Jeep so I figure this rope should be well suited to a light vehicle. Of course I too will apply my Harbor Freight...

I've got two red-tops in my Deuce and half as the 24v starting batteries. They've been starting the deuce for over two years. I ran them down when trying to start the truck during a cold KS winter, but once charged they've been going strong since. I also have two blue tops on the 12v accessory...

Where are you seeing the Scepter military cans for sale in the US?! I'm not looking for any, I have more than a few. $64 isn't bad for new. I just thought they weren't for sale new in the US. Scepter military cans are the best around in my opinion. But they even swell and let some vapor out...

Don't underestimate a GI tri-fold e-tool. I'm 6"1" and I have dug a 2 man foxhole up to my armpits with a GI e-tool. Also pitched in on an MG position and several other holes with the same shovel. Many GIs used that same tool before me, and I'm sure after me. I've dug cat-holes, slit trenches...

A personal rule I live by is don't buy things from HF that can kill you. If a tool or piece of equipment is likely to hurt or kill me during routine use if it fails I won't buy it from HF. Of course that rule is subjective, but I decided long ago that saving a few bucks isn't worth serious...

It wasn't today, but on two occasions I used winch to drag a partially fallen tree to the ground. A rotten tree fell over during high winds and hung up in a neighboring tree. It was very precarious, so my father and I used the ATV winch to pull the trunk of the tree out and bring it down safely...

I disagree. The only GI bags I've personally seen are nylon, and they're far superior than the imported canvas type. I understand there are some older actual GI canvas bags out there but I haven't seen them. IMO stay away from the current manufacture canvas bags. I made the mistake of buying a...

Good question. I've had to search for mine. I have picked up a couple from online surplus stores, but I can't find any at the moment. Best source I can find is ebay, but the cheap imported bags are often passed off as military bags. It's hard to discern the good ones from the garbage unless...
